Angelo's Birthday

Happy 11th Birthday Angelo!!! Angelo's birthday was is the middle of the week and he was with Alex for the afternoon so we just did a cake and celebrated on our own.

Fortunately we were able to celebrate with Grandma, Grandpa, and the Gates tribe via Skype. It was alot of fun!!!

We got Angelo an ipod touch. He had been saving his money in order to buy one but we decided to suprise him with it. He was sooo suprised!!!

Cali again....

We had such a great time in CA the weekend before that we decided to do it again. We went to Elko so Shane could go to work for 4 days before his 7 days off. We drove to Vegas on Friday and headed back to Cali on Sat. The weather was not quite what we had hoped for....
Taylor didn't let the weather stop her. She would run in until the waves came and then she would run back out. In....

Vacation in California

Our lives have been really hectic the past couple of months and we needed a break. Shane came down on Thursday and we had plans to head up to Elko on Sunday but the beach was going to be 80 degrees so we couldn't pass it up. We had such a blast!!!

Taylor loved the water but everytime Shane put her down in a wave this is what she would do. It was so funny it happened everytime so I was able to get it on video.

Easter with Angelo

Angelo was with Alex for Easter so we celebrated a little early. We took the eggs up on a bike trail behind the house. This was the first year that I was able to share this tradition with Angelo. He loved it. We each dug a trail for the eggs. Angelo won.

Blowing Bubbles

It is so wonderful to be home with the kids. I can actually focus more time on creating and capturing the memories. While working everything was a rush. We had so little time and wanted to squeeze everything in. Now I can savor each moment and take it all in. I am looking forward to taking advantage of these moments and sharing them with everyone.

Sooo.....Taylor took advantage of a nice day. There was a light wind which made it perfect for blowing/chasing bubbles with out having to make all the effort in blowing them. The wind did that for us. She had a blast.

Homework

Doing homework this way makes Angelo enjoy doing his homework. He would give anything to have her sit by him, give him a kiss or hold his hand. He adores her sooo much!!!

Christmas 2010

I can't believe a didn't post this yet........

Over Christmas break Angie, Kirby and the kids came over. Angie and Kirby had to leave the day after Christmas but we got to keep the kids until after New Year's. Rick and Monique invited us to go sledding up Kittridge. We had a blast. Stacey, Tre and JB went with us too. Not so much fun after sledding....I had all 5 kids running fevers, coughing and blowing noses that night thru the rest of the visit. I guess that's what makes it memorable.

I love this picture!!! The one thing my dad wanted was to have all of us together. We almost made it. Only missing King and Angelo.
